About
Ahaondéag

Ahaondéag is a social network built on a simple idea: People connect more meaningfully in small groups than in giant crowds.

Ahaondéag offers: circles of eleven, gentle public spaces, and calm idea-sharing — some brilliant, some thoughtful, some crazy, some silly.

What Ahaondéag is NOT about

Ahaondéag is not interested in noise, outrage, performance or self-promotion.

No adverts • No algorithms • No followers • No influencers • No likes • No tracking • No data-selling.

Just people.

What's In A Name?

The name Ahaondéag is derived from the Irish for the number 11: a haon déag (a hay-n dyayg)

Eleven is the rhythm of Ahaondéag:

It keeps everything human-scale, self-governing, and manageable.

Your Private Ahaondéag

Private Ahaondéags are invite-only circles of up to eleven people. They’re calm spaces for friends, communities, or private discussions.

When a group ends, its private posts vanish; global ideas continue their journey.

Your Rotating Public Ahaondéag

Everyone belongs to one public circle of eleven. Every 11 days you drift into a new group — quietly, on your own timer.

These encounters are soft and low-pressure. You can leave once every 3 days; old posts remain with a “Former member” note.

Ideas — a quiet global commons

Anyone can share an idea. If six people support it, it becomes Listed — visible globally and anonymously.

Inactive ideas eventually rest in an archive.

A healthier way to be online

Calm • Human-scale • Transparent • Respectful

There is no infinite feed — only the people and ideas you choose.

Privacy and respect built in

Ahaondéag keeps data light and conversations respectful.

A small online world, built slowly

Ahaondéag is not trying to be everywhere. It’s trying to be somewhere that feels good.

If that sounds right for you, we’d be honoured to have you with us.
